How to Send or Receive Cargo with Nepal Jet Airways
Sending or receiving cargo with us is simple and efficient. Whether you're shipping documents, goods, or other items across Nepal, follow these steps to ensure smooth service:
Sending Cargo
- Before dispatching your consignment, please ensure that it is properly prepackaged.
- All supporting documents, such as bills or certificates, must be attached if applicable.
- For manufactured goods, a VAT bill issued by the Government of Nepal is mandatory.
- You can visit our Cargo Office at Sinamangal, Kathmandu for large or time-sensitive shipments. For all other locations, visit the nearest Nepal Jet Airways sales or airport office.
When sending cargo, clearly provide the following information:
- Full name of shipper (sender)
- Full name of consignee (receiver)
- Origin and destination airport
- Valid contact number of shipper
- Valid contact number and address of consignee

Once we have the required details, your consignment will be dispatched to the destination.
Receiving Cargo
- If the destination is within the Kathmandu Valley, visit our Sinamangal Cargo Office.
- For destinations outside Kathmandu, collect your consignment from the respective airport.
- Our team will contact the consignee using the provided phone number once the cargo arrives.
What We Cargo
Nepal Jet Airways offers cargo services for a wide range of items to meet your personal and business needs.
Examples of accepted cargo items:
- Consumer electronics (Laptops, Phones, Cameras, etc.)
- Documents and legal papers
- Clothing and apparel
- Fabrics and textiles
- Footwear
- Medicines (with appropriate labeling)
- Hospital or medical equipment
- Perishable goods
- Jewelry and small valuables (with declaration)

Cargo Restrictions
We are NOT a dangerous goods (DGR) carrier. The following items are strictly prohibited on all Nepal Jet Airways flights:
- Explosives: Fireworks, flares, grenades
- Gases: Propane, butane, aerosol sprays
- Flammable Liquids: Petrol, gasoline, methanol
- Flammable Solids: Matches, magnesium
- Oxidizers: Bleach, peroxide
- Toxins and Infectious Substances: Rat poison, infected materials
- Radioactive Materials: Isotopes (commercial or medical)
- Corrosives: Mercury, car batteries
- Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods: Vehicle parts with fuel, wet cell batteries, etc.
Cargo weight is limited to 23 kg per package. Heavier or oversize cargo will not be accepted.
